On site 6c

On sighted a short 6c face climb called Mi Tia Pepa. Did it clean and easily. The route is three cranking rock overs, one after another with a glued crimp at about half way. The holds felt well within my power range and the moves felt in control and easy.  Just before Mi Tia Pepa,  I did a confident re assent of Vudu 6b+ which is regarded as hard for the grade  and is quite overhanging and has a hard bouldery start. I did it quite easily so had loads of confidence to have a go at Tia Pepa. I now really want to do:

Dersu Uzala 6b+ to the left of Vudu which has really rusty bolts,

Variante Vudu 6c which is just to the right of Vudu and looks hard and fingery.

Finally Alligator 6c+ has been a long time wannado. Really cranky looking start off  a slopping undercut/side cut upto a crimpy groove and then into big pocket for the second bolt and easier ground.

The plan. Started at 12 stone 7 pounds and 6’1″. Decided I would increase the stamina, aerobic fitness, and lose the excess weight. Kong doesn’t do flab. There’s no fat on Kong. So i dusted off the polar heart rate monitor and started to run and moutain bike and walk. Bit of a suprise to find out that a lower heart beat actually burns more fat as a proportion of calories burnt. So steady longer runs are the way to go.

Combined this with a high protein and almost no carb diet. Just oats in the morning as either musli and fruit or porride and fruit. Hmmmm Kong like.
